Vampires Suck!

Yep they have finally done it. They've made a vampire spoof film. It mostly takes the piss out of Twilight. But with the mahoosive amount of coverage and tweenage fans Twilight has, who can blame them. Anything that gets big these days will be made fun of.
And every programme/film thats come out in the past 3 years seems to be about the blood suckers. Anyway the trailer looks quite funny, but you can tell most of the humour will be slapstick (which is fine if you're 5).

Like cats?

...then you'll love this:

"MeowMania"

Just a little bit creepy. It reminds me of the Crusha ad's, with the singing cats.

Horror on Chatroulette

Interactive Advertising via the well-known website; Chatroulette.com. Not sure what agency thought of this, but i think its brilliant. I think if you were part of the advertising for this film, it would make me want to see "The Last Exorcism" . (Although Im a chicken when it comes to horror movies) The guys who did this campaign must have had so much fun!

Cardboard Trainers

This is from an art project, done recently by a man called Jurjen Semeijn. He made trainers from the cardboard boxes they came in. I had to look twice to realise the main trainer is actual card. Looks so real. The project was called "Out of the Box”......clever.

Zakynthos 2010

Ive just returned from a beautiful holiday in Zakynthos, Greece. I went away with 5 friends and we had an amazing time. We hired a boat.......and crashed it, and got the anchor stuck between rocks (too deep to get it loose). We hired another boat, no problems with that one. Then we found some caves and went exploring, the weather and water was fantastic. On our last day we went around on quad bikes. Loved the quads, why cant everyone ride round on quads here??? But yes i am immensely tanned and sad that I am back : (

Hey Cookie!

My parents surprised me with this giant Millie's cookie yesterday, for passing my uni degree. I had forgotten how nice millie's cookies are. It was delicious, I cut it like a cake shared it with everyone.

English Tea Party

We had visitors staying from Ireland at my house this week. On their last day my mum threw an English Tea Party and invited afew more friends over for them. I played classical music, courtesy of my iTunes (abit annoyed that Spotify stopped doing their 99p Day-Pass.) We had Sandwiches- Homemade scones with cream and strawberry preserve- And ofcourse tea and cupcakes- The cupcakes were delicious, a bit filling though. There were about 12 of us, including a few children. We sat in the garden with a drink afterwards. The weather was brilliant, i think we're definitely going to host a few more. Im going to have a posh tea-cup set when I get my own place.

The Railway Children

Went to the theatre last night with a few family friends to see the latest production of The Railway Children. It wasnt exactly in a theatre but in an actual train station. They had converted the former Eurostar platforms at Waterloo station into a stage. The audience were sat either side of the actual tracks with parts of the stage moving whilst the actors were doing their scenes. Ive never seen any production like that before. Its a great thing to see especially if you've watched the film, good to see a well-known film transformed into a stage production. At on point they brought a real steam onto the tracks.

Jay-Z ends the Wireless Weekend

Went to wireless again on Sunday with my friend Steph. It was the last day and the line-up was Lily Allen, Tinie Tempah, Mr. Hudson, Slash, Chase & Status (and others), ending it with a bang was the legendary Jay-Z. It was immense how many people went. And with over 50,000 people I randomly bump into one of my coursemates. At one point he said 'lets turn this night into Carnival'. The Jigga man played all of his latests and classic tracks. Alicia Keys came out and surprised the audience with Empire of the State. And Mr. Hudson joined him for Forever Young. But he did the track I was waiting for last...Encore, I love that song. Wireless was mad, but im definitely going to go next year.

Wireless festival

Yesterday I went to the Wireless festival in Hyde Park. It was amazing. I saw The Gossip, Ting Tings and Pink. Pink was on last and her performance was the best. She dropped out of a toy box (that was suspended by a crane over the audience)! Then Zorbed over the crowd..and right over my head. It was wicked. She said 'now i know how a hamster feels'. I took my friend Jem as its her birthday soon, she loves Pink, so i was buzzing as it was the first time she saw her live. Wicked day. I actually felt like i was at a festival......i now want to go camping : (

The Incurable Optimist

This is a really touching video about a man called Patrick who developed motor neurone disease (MND). Which means he is gradually losing the ability to walk, talk, eat and breathe. He is determined to use what’s left of his life and his diminishing artistic skill to encourage others to do something optimistic every day. MND may be incurable but he is an incurable optimist. "I know that through optimism we will find the cure to MND." I really hope he gets all 100 portraits done. Check out his website- PatrickTheIncurableOptimist

Who Doesn't?

Found this at TPH (uni) thought it looked a little like me when i was younger. Tried convincing housemates my mum had put me in for modelling casts when i was younger. They didn't believe it was me : (

Swedish Midsummers

Yesterday i went to Natalie and Steph's Swedish midsummers BBQ party. We made halo's out of leaves and flowers, had some delicious food and chilled out in the garden. The party was also a bit of a housewarming, because they have just moved into their new apartment. Everyone stayed up drinking and eating till 2 in the morning. It was cool because Tom Othick (creative partner) was in London for New Blood, and Ruby, another coursemate, so it felt like a creative advertisers reunion. The hightlight of the night...i got to try traditional Swedish sandwich cake, Natalie has been going on about this cake since i met her; "you have to try it!" But she never made it when we lived together. Its really nice, a weird combination of ingredients, but it is really tasty. Ill hopefully get to try it again as she only lives 10mins away.

Greyson Chance 2

Ive already written a post about this talented gangster, but he's now writing his own songs and they sound ear-meltingly beautiful. So here is the one to watch G-G-Greyson.

LDN

Im back home now, in my favourite city. I didn't realise how grand it is till i went on the underground. I felt like a foreigner, even though i have lived here all my life. I went to visit my old flatmate Natalie in her new apartment, we played Wii and her and Steph cooked me a delicious dinner. The apartment is beautiful, it just makes me want to move out now. Living back with the folks is going to drag like the final series of Big Brother.

Sex and the City 2

Yes had a very girly night watching this at with my housemate Meglaaaa, (Megan) at the cinema. Then came home to some drinks and girls night with Steph at ours. I thought the film was good. It was so funny. Most of my mates (girls) have said its not as good as the first. But i think it is. Anyway its perfect for a chick-flick. Ild watch it again.
